After completing his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2011, Dan Gabbert continued the work he started during his internship treating people with compulsive sexual behaviors, or sex addiction. Dan brings a straightforward approach to therapy while maintaining compassion for his clients and their parts.

Dan’s training includes the comprehensive Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) program; Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 2; Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Betrayal Trauma training; Screen, Gaming and Internet addictions training, among others.

The issues of Dan’s training impacts people from all walks of life and all ages. Dan’s focus in on teens and adults (16 and older) all genders and anyone struggling with compulsive sexuality (in all its forms), betrayal trauma (for men and women), screen and gaming addictions and anxiety and depression.

He has created and led trainings for other therapists on sexual addiction and Internal Family Systems and has taught a course on sexual addiction at the Master’s level. Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to his client’s lives through a 20+ year career in corporate America before returning to school to earn his Master’s.

At Counseling & Recovery Partners, Dan has assembled a team of practitioners dedicated to delivering life-changing therapy for those who have or are experiencing sexual addiction, drug and alcohol dependence, screen/gaming addiction, sexual and other relational traumas and betrayal trauma.
