Chris has been helping clients recover from sexual addiction since 2013 by exploring the parts of them driving their compulsive/addictive behaviors, developing a healthier relationship to sex, and discovering ways to experience more meaningful connection in their lives.
His extensive training as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) has helped him to approach recovery work with an understanding that compulsive sexual behaviors are often fueled by underlying trauma, insecurities or negative beliefs about one’s self, and a multitude of factors that make it difficult to develop and maintain healthy and meaningful relationships.
Chris is also a trained neurofeedback practitioner; a modality that helps the brain regulate electrical impulses and address concerns such as problems with attention, focus, learning, sleep, motivation, clarity, calmness, energy, communication, mood, and how we feel physically
Chris is a licensed counselor in the state of MO and KS, and provides both in-person and Telehealth therapy with individual adult clients of all ages. In addition to a Master’s in Counseling from Avila university, Chris has completed post graduate education for various treatment modalities. He is a CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) and is a trained IFS and EMDR therapist.
